Is it back?

I stopped taking prednisone last November after a two year taper from 50 mg. Compared some of you, it was a pretty uneventful taper and my blood work was good and aside from my legs still not what they were, I felt I was recovering. The last six weeks or so I have had a stiff neck that is really bad and I am tired to the point of exhaustion. Is a stiff neck a symptom of PMR?

It could be - and the time you have been off the pred is quite typical for a flare of symptoms because the disease activity was very very low at the time you stopped but wasn't gone entirely. The dripping tap of inflammation then keeps going and eventually fills the bucket and overflows causing symptoms. Two years is very short for PMR/GCA. PMR tends to be longer - only a third of patients are off pred in 2 years.

That was the first symptom that I experienced.
