Numbness and PMR

Has anyone experienced a running motor like sensation in their abdomen ? I have had PMR for 4 years and have tapered down to 2.5 mg of Pred. I also have pressure in my ears which sounds like a motor as well. Neurologist found nothing. Any responses would be greatly appreciated. I also have tingling and numbness in my extremities.

Soubds like a high awareness of your heart rate - I used to feel my pulse in the aorta but it did stop eventually.

Are you anxious? Is it making you hyperventilate do you think? That can cause the other symptoms you describe. Have you spoken to your doctor about the peripheral symptoms?

I also wondered about your Aorta ie the large artery that runs from the left ventricle into your abdomen and can be involved in or affected by Large Cell Arteritis. I have experienced pulsatile tinnitus in my ears that sounds a bit like you describe. It may be that an Ultrasound Scan of the Aorta might be indicated, to see that it is functioning as it should. I am going on the investigations I had before my GCA/LVV diagnosis. I also know that when I am anxious I can become hyper aware of my heart. Good luck, try not to worry more than you need too. Pred can cause a lot of weird symptoms. Let us know. My investigations were initiated by my very thorough Rheumatologist.
