Just hit year 2. Tapered down nicely to 5.5mg. I was walking 3 miles a day for months .I tried walking some hills for several days and I think that did me in. Also started gardening. My knees are in pain . I dont think its a flare. Is that what you call DOMS? Its taking a long time to improve again.

Hi,
This is a link about DOMS - and it does mention it should resolve within 7 days...

I would say the combination of walking hills and gardening was just too much, and although it may not be a full time flare, it is a warning to remind yourself you have a systemic illness and need to think about pacing..

i agree with DL. The trouble with hills is they are very hard on the knees - especially doing downhill - and if you did it for days in a row when you hadn't built up slowly to the different action, it could well be DOMS but also just knees complaining too. You can't just dive in the deep end and attempt a triathlon - you have to get into training ...
Hi, Sounds like you've upset your PMR by trying to do too much, and it's come back to bite you!
I do realise, only too well, how frustrating it must be for you ( I guess we've all been there), but you will surely get better more quickly if you take it more easy.
Good luck.
