Drug for glaucoma prevention, refill problems

I’m in the US. I’ve been on Zioptan eye drops because of being at risk of glaucoma from GCA and extreme nearsightedness to keep pressure down and prevent glaucoma.

I was recently denied this drug by my insurance company and switched to the generic which caused me problems initially.

I see an opthamolagist at a large teaching hospital and have been trying to get them to do an urgent appeal to the insurance company with no results so far. I’ve been out of the drug for Three days now and am worried. Is this dangerous? I’ve never reached the doctor, only her assistant, who told me a day or of two missed doses wouldn’t be harmful. She was supposed to call me yesterday, having to go through resident students to the doctor, etc.

One more thing to worry about.

The risk isn't from GCA itself, it is the pred that can raise the intraoccular pressure. But I doubt anyone here knows as much as your ophthalmologist.
