I have been off steroids for 7 weeks and I now have nerve pains in my shoulders, neck and in my hand & feet, and the top of my feet are so painful it’s keeping me awake, It’s like I have pointed my feet too much and strained and the muscles
My pain is not too bad however I am so weak all the time,
Will I ever have any energy or strength back at all? I have slight headaches all the time and my hip joint feel very rusty.
However stopping steroids and stopped the muscle pains. You just can’t win.
My rheumatologist is calling me Friday and I am not sure what to ask him.

Top of feet could be tendonitis which I’ve seen from shoes being done up too tightly, sitting at the table with ankles crossed and one foot on top toe or too high a chair so both feet are on tip toe. The last two can cause plantar fasciitis too.
Your Covid history possibly needs to be considered as neurological symptoms are an increasing feature in Long Covid as PMRPro said earlier. As is weakness and general feeling yuk.
Most people say it took them up to a year after stopping pred to feel back to normal - not just the muscles getting back to normal but also adrenal function.
Although I still have PMR and am on Pred., until I had my 4 joint replacements (the last one nearly a year ago) I was virtually immobile. Since I started exercising again and trying to get active , one of the pains I am having is on the top of my foot. My osteopath says it is probably tendonitis and I think it is just a matter of patience as you say. In the very early days, it was my pelvis that was giving me a lot of trouble, but this has now eased a lot. I am having some hip pain (even though I don't have my own hip anymore!). All these pains seem to be the result of my poor body having to adjust to me moving again and no more limping!
