Antibody test

A lot of us on this forum were asked to take part in a COVID antibody test. I can’t remember which organisation asked. Most if not all of us said “yes”.

I have not received any further information nor a testing kit. Has anyone else? I am wondering if they abandoned it?

Hi,Yes, I'm in the same boat. The letter was dated January 2021, and was from Department of Health & Social Care, Imperial College London, and Ipsos MORI under the NHS.

Replies were due by 22nd January. I replied and have heard nothing since, but I doubt they have abandoned us as yet.

Hope this helps.

Paddy

I wish I could remember who requested the test, but DL and others are still waiting like me so maybe it will still happen.....

The one I remember filling in and people were talking about on here appeared in an email headed 'Your invitation to have a coronavirus antibody test (COVIDENCE UK study)' in early December. There may be other similar studies. I know that Biobank said recently they were going to be asking people to do antibody tests.

I am in same position and awaiting kit. I assumed they may have enough on their plates at the moment.

Just got email for my January update - Includes this paragraph -

“If you signed up for the antibody study, but have not yet received your kit, please bear with us: unfortunately supply chain issues beyond our control have caused delays. Some 12,000 kits have now been dispatched by our medical student volunteers, and we are on course to send out the remaining 4,000 kits by the end of January”.
