My thoughts too

My surgery is short of.vaccine, currently inviting over 80s and can’t say when they will take delivery to roll it out further.

They are perfectly safe - it is no different from having the flu jab which is recommended for patients on pred.

If I had been offered it, I would not hesitate to have it.

The only part of getting the vaccine I'm not looking forward to is waiting in a line for hours, outdoors, in February or March in New York. With my luck, there will be a blizzard in progress, or one will just have passed through, leaving us to stand in a snow bank for hours.

I just got a date for my first injection for next week, so grateful. I'm in Michigan. (Teachers, substitute teachers, staff, essential workers were in this second round so I'm very grateful).

I got mine Dec 23 while on 35 mg prednisone. No side effects or problems. My rheumatologist told me to definitely get it. Mine was the Pfizer vaccine but I’m sure the other is just as safe. Much safer than getting covid!

I had my 1st Pfizer shot three weeks ago. Little bit of a sore arm the next day. Not much else. Getting the 2nd shot on Tuesday. I’ll let you know how it turns out. On Prednisone (for PMR) but that didn’t seem to make a difference.
