PMR
In probably 95% of patients PMR the underlying autoimmune disorder will eventually burn out and go into remission. In my experience though, if you have a flare it will keep going, just like my PMR has kept going and apparently never died out. Depends how long you want to wait.
I personally wouldn't risk it. PMRpro waited several years before diagnosis. I was certainly suffering from PMR symptoms for over a year before diagnosis and may have had milder symptoms before that. Now that I know more about the disease I'm sure I was beginning to show early signs of GCA before diagnosis.
so yes smiley it does come back my husbands just in shoulders for now but his knuckles have stated to swell ,hope you get sorted out

I’ve had swollen and painful knuckles and tingling....in fingers, particularly in last 4 weeks.... do you have any idea if this will go away, or is it the first time he’s had this condition..
