Tocilizimab (TCZ) side effects?

Does it cause swelling in the limbs (ankles/fingers)

I have not experienced this side effect. When I looked swelling up on a medical site about side effects, it was listed with allergic reactions. I would ask my prescribing doctor about it.

Hi I am on TCZ and had swelling more left lower leg , but I’m also on Tablets for hypertension, doctor changed these and swelling has gone so for me it wasn’t the tocilizumab

Have you had your blood pressure checked? One of the common adverse effects of tcz is raised BP and raised BP can lead to swollen ankles and hands.

Yes, all that was checked immediately with no pbms there. So am still thinking that it is the TCZ as things are settling down with the swelling; guess just wait it out. Thank you for responding.

Sorry no such symptoms with Tocilizumab weekly injections.
