Woke up today and got to work where I noticed Centre of index finger, palm side, was black And blue! No pain at all. Now diminishing. Googled and came up with above and says It’s rare but nothing to worry about. Just wondering if anyone else has had it?! I find comfort in not being the only one....

I used to get that on and off for years from blood vessels bursting in my fingers. Sometimes it stung like a bee sting. It was bad when I was on high dose Pred but since then I’ve not had it again.

Thanks - I feel better not being alone! Had sharp pain lower down hand yesterday and didn’t think anything of it. Good to know it’s nothing sinister! The imagination plays tricks!

I think there have been a few cases on the forum relatively recently that could have been it - I've had it a few years ago.

Myself and my daughter get this now and again. It seems to happen after we grip something. Blood vessels in finger showing dark blue and sometimes quite sore. Doesn’t last long.

I have bruising appearing on my palms or fingers quite regularly. It doesn’t hurt and goes quite quickly. I love just put it down to Prednisolone!
