Feeling much better 90%+, after nearly a mouth on Pred and planing to reduce dosage by 10% from mid week. I have seen the post about time of taking Pred at night and understand the logic, my question is at which dosage do you switch to night time taking and do you move the time slowly, i.e. move the time each day by an hour till you reach you night time target.

Prednisolone dosage timing
There would be no harm in taking a dose at the normal time and then the night time dose. I do this on long haul flights to deal with the different time zone - to no ill effect and when I changed to Entric Coated tablets taken at night rather than uncoated in the morning. I err towards extra rather than less and tend to have a good day. If that makes sense.
I wouldn’t suggest you do both at the same time, and to be perfectly honest so early in your treatment neither would I be messing about with the timings.
The most important thing early days is to make sure everything is under control - and as you haven’t been through your first taper yet - you don’t know that.
Yes you feel good on initial dose, as you would hope, but that’s the easy bit. The more difficult times are yet to come, unless you are a) very lucky, or b) very sensible in reducing. Your aim now is to find, by reducing sensibly to find the lowest dose that still lets you feel that good.
If you’re thinking about adrenals and pred, then a bit premature, your adrenals will be dormant until you get a lot lower.
However, if you want to change timing there are a few days -
As you suggested,
a few days of splitting doses 50/50 - then night time completely
When you get round to trying evening dosing it is simple: take a morning dose as normal and then the dose at the desired evening time, 12 hours early. You will have one really good day and then be back to normal! A few hours of a bit more won't hurt at all.
