Proton pump inhibitor

I'm on 20mg Prednisone for PMR. My rheumatologist in his notes recommended I get an over the counter proton pump inhibitor if I develop acid reflux.

I do have acid reflux and wondered if anyone has had success using a particular brand/dosage?

I had acid reflux long before I had GCA. I take a pantaloc morning and before bed. I was taking ranitidine at bedtime but Canada withdrew it. The drug is Pantoprazole 40 mg. My rheumatologist is good with this regime. I have mine on a prescription In Canada over age 65 we just pay a small dispensing fee for prescriptions. I still take a Tums sometimes before bed. Certain foods upset my stomach.
