The leaves are budding on our large street trees. Other years they have been bare until late May. I wonder if traffic pollution holds plants back. Everything is so verdant.
It has also been exceptionally warm for the time of year - but yes, it does slow plant growth and development of leaves.
It’s interesting because we are a bit further North than you.
Here in Newcastle , as Jackoh says , Forsythia always blooms at the beginning of April and about two weeks before the huge May trees which line our road come into bud. This year is no different.

Lovely!! This bush always reminds me of Easter. We had a house in London where it always seemed warmer to me than the Midlands where I was born and brought up. The bush came out around Easter with the daffodils! Lovely for flower arranging.
