Steroids are suppressing our auto immune system, so are we at greater risk of Colonovirus? I am only on 5mg but am so achey again l was thinking of putting Pred up to 10 mg for a bit but am nervous of doing this. I am 83 so never go out now. Daughters call with shopping, keeping ourselves 2m apart.

Yes you are more at risk, but sounds as if you are doing the right thing. I would try 7.5mg for just a few days and then back down to maybe 6mg - as 5mg doesn't seem enough.

If you are already observing a strict social isolation procedure I doubt you are at great risk on 5mg. The official advice is that pred doses of 10-19mg put you into the high risk category and above 20mg the very high risk category.
