Another strange topic from me. On one side of my calf muscles I go bald grow hair back and then go bald again. It’s really weird....
Is it prednisolone withdrawals or am I getting up and sleep shaving?

Trouser rub I should think. I have had totally hair free legs since pmr except for 6 thick black hairs on my shins. No arm hair either.
Exactly 6?? On each shin?? 🤔
Yep. They disappeared at 9mg.6 in a little oval on each shin. Weird as I have never really had much leg hair.
Wow! Interesting!
They were half an inch long too.. 😂🤣😂
I barely need to shave at all hurrah! Never was very hairy. It must be more obvious in a man.
You might be getting up and shaving - but you’d have to ask your wife - not us 🤦🏻♀️
More likely to be another weird side effect of Pred!
Another day, another conundrum 🤣😂😳
Clearly the calf muscles can’t make their minds up whether to be hairy or not...
And you need this hair - why?
My body hair doesn’t grow but my facial hair does
I have lost all leg hair except for two lines down the front of shins , I keep wishing that , that would just go in the night as well, then I wouldn't have to keep shaving off my ," go slower stripes" , it would makes the aches and pains a bit easier.
Perhaps Sleep shaving could be the answer !!😋😂😂😂
Hmm....you and Scoops. Some weird shin hair stuff going on here! 😳
I also only have one persistent blob in the middle of each armpit.
I always had thin hair and less body hair than most . Originally I thought it was probably caused by hormones , and then the steroids , but I had a big reduction in any hair growth in the usual places on my body as my Cardio issues came in and has made my circulation worse .
Everything effects it , but I found that interesting , and do wonder wether reduced oxygen and circulation in the skin as well as changes in Collagen may be a big factor in the changes we have in our skin and hair problems too. I take the supplements that keep my nutrients right for good skin and hair growth , so I have been able to rule that out. Inactivity that's forced upon us can reduce our circulation too so it could be one common factor in hair issues for us all.
I've been on Prednisone for 15 months, tapering, and I noticed that after a few months the hair on both my legs stopped growing.
Mine's growing back again!
I stopped having under arm hair and leg hair is much reduced but still there to some extent. It's not really that obvious because it's so light colored but I do break down and shave it off every two months or so.
Sleep shaving! That’s funny!
My first reply was clearly too soon. Since then my lower legs, back and front, look as though a team of landscape gardeners have been practising topiary ahead of the probably to be cancelled Chelsea Flower Show. If the show is cancelled, blame my legs for looking really strange!!
