I came off pred about 7 weeks ago and my thighs are still weak. I was on pred a little more than a year, most of the time 10mg.

How long can muscle weakness go on?
I think it is probably more than you think. I think it depends on the person and some on this forum have gone on to be very active indeed. However, for some the muscle bulk lost doesn’t fully recover. I think that’s me because no matter what I do, it doesn’t change. Did you lose much muscle bulk? Were you able to keep up any form of exercise?
Thank you for your reply! Actually i don't notice any muscle bulk loss. I'm going through rehabilitation now with different exercises, it's not that hard. But at the next day i'm feeling very weak, like i haven't got any rest at all.
Well I’m not surprised at all. Rehab is a slow process. It is also possible that the autoimmune activity may still be there at a low level.
This is a detailed piece on it once you wade your way through the adverts.
Most people reckon it was a year before they felt really back to normal. And rehab is a slow process, retraining muscles takes a long time. Trying to run before you can walk doesn't help - maybe you need a slightly slower approach.
Thanks for bringing this up I have it. Am just going to read about Corticosteroid induced myopathy
