My Skin is sore to the touch on my chest. I am wondering if it could be my PMR that is causing the pain when I touch my skin.

If you look to the right you will see posts about the same thing. Either the tenderness of flu type feelings (PMR) or thin tender skin prone to injury ( steroid related).

Is it definitely the skin or just under it?

Feels like the skin

Wondering if it’s costochondritis that can feel very surface-like because very little pressure is needed for it to hurt.

If you could describe it as tender or aching rather than sore then I would say it's PMR as I have that across my chest too

It also feels like it could be my ribs sore making my skin hurt

PMR definitely affects my ribs too but I'd describe it as stiff or aching or tender rather than sore.

I think that is how my pain is but my skin is sore to the touch.

Everything felt tender... SKin, muscles. Couldn't bear clothes sticking to me. But if you are worried then please see Dr. 🌻

Thank you very much. I don't know what I would do without all of you that are on this PMRGCA link.

Does it look swollen at all? I had rib and sternum pain duru. The first year. I am going to link to a post from a while back.... More for pmrpros answer re-costochondritis.

It doesn't look swollen. It does hurt when I breathe.

That sounds like costochondritis. I thought I must have pleurisy as breathing in made everything hurt!
