Came across a non medication relief which has worked for me and all those who have also tried this simple non medicinal approach.
When the first signs of cold or "flu, not sure as don't recall having it" hit take 1 teaspoon of bicarb soda in a glass of water 3 times on the first day, twice on the second day and once for the following 2 to 3 days.
You should find that the longevity and severity of the cold or "flu" will be greatly diminished, I have gone from up to 4 weeks to recover to 1 week or less.
Have tried traditional remedies in the past but none as effective, those who try it please give feedback.
Good health to all

Thank you for your response but unable to find any adverse effects from ingesting the amounts in water as described, I have done this on several occasions with colds/flu.
In my case it starts with a sore throat followed by head stuffiness and runny nose etc, then the chest cough which can last several weeks. I along with others that have tried it will continue to do so but would appreciate source of "adverse blood pressure issues" as I would not want to advice or encourage anything that presents a risk to others.
