Any soap with magnesium helps....

I’ve also read this is good for cramp, definitely better than more Meds!

I wish I knew how it can help - bit quite a few people have mentioned it over the years!

I read something that it was most likely the slow leeching of magnesium .Which is why they suggested magnesium free dove doesn't help. I have a 15p Tesco's own bar. I haven't had restless legs a much but suspect that's more to do with duloxetine. But for 15p I thought it was worth a try.

Nat's rescue dog took a swim yesterday - while crossing stepping stones... Another new experience ;)

in reply to PMRpro

Bless hope it didn't put him off.

Looked as if he'd quite enjoyed it - I think Nat got a tad damp when he shook himself.

That's the beauty of puppy training. I trained mine to go 10ft away to shaky shake. Now she shakes near my friend not me....result!

Drat!

Looks like it's soggy sandwiches and sand in the eye for the Summer again then😋

in reply to Blearyeyed

It's the crunch of sand in the sandwiches I hated as a kid. I am sure that's why I thought they were called sandwiches for years.

My parents trained their black lab to shake on command as soon as she exited the water, instead of letting her shake all over them.

One day they commanded “Shake!” And she sat down and held up her paw. The neighbor kids had taught her to shake hands, a trick my duck-hunting dad hadn’t deemed worthy of a fine hunting dog!

(End of thread-jack.)

If you have restless leg syndrome, it is painful and not a minimizing joke

in reply to EmmaLaura

Yes it is painful but without laughter life is even more painful.😂😂😂

The joke wasn't about restless legs.

Might be something to it:

Not sure how using soap under your sheets helps , but raising your feet a few inches on a cool pillow or towel does help alleviate the pain .

I find using a Magnesium supplement on the inside , and rubbing a cooling , magnesium rich lotion with lavender and camomile before going to bed has decreased the level of restless leg symptoms and throbbing I suffer at night though.

Doing some gentle rotations of my ankles and wriggling and rolling my toes just after getting into bed help as well.
