Hi menon99, can you give a bit more info about when you had it done, if you were on pred then etc. I have no experience with chemical peel but if you are on pred it makes your skin thin and i have found my skin is extremely sensitive and easily marked and scarred. I even have to be careful with soap, shampoo etc and can't use a biological washing powder. It's hard to help if we don't have info to help us understand.

I doubt anyone here can answer that question - stretch marks are the least of our problems at our age!! I never developed them even during pregnancy.

However - I can't see how chemical peeling can make the slightest difference to stretch marks - they are stretching of the collagen and elastin in the deeper layers of the skin. Removing the outer layer of skin cells won't change the stretch marks although they will usually fade over time.

I think stretch marks are a badge of honour 😀

In pregnancy, definitely! Except they do also happen with excessive weight gain.

I don't think I got big enough in pregnancy to develop many - Baby 1 was 1300g, Baby 2 1090g - although I did gain a lot of fluid with No1

I put on 2 stone which was a lot considering I was only 5 and a half stone to start with but went straight back to size 6 Jean's and no stretch mark's!! I would love to be back at even 7 and half stone now!! My scales would die of shock if it had to weigh something under 10 stone now!!

5ft 3 inch and I was just like my grandmas and my youngest who is now 25 has always been tiny, 7st wet through even though weighed 7 lbs 10 oz at birth!! Mum dragged me everywhere to find out why I was so small and basically got to I was healthy just skinny.

I was skinny till I was 27 (8st 2lbs - 5'6") then I had 1st child and put on 10lbs (which I never lost)!! Same thing happened when I had 2nd child.

I kept some weight on after both of mine but still only scraped through as 7 stone when I was 40. Then middle age spread hit and I finally settled down at 8 and half stone.
