I went to WW last night (weight watchers as was) and was chatting to a lady...blah blah blah and out it came. She has PMR. I mentioned the site. Yes she is a member and we both agreed this is the thing that helps us to live with PMR (and many rheumies are useless). So thank you lovely people. #PMR People everywhere.

It’s good isn’t it?
Glad you’ve found a PMR buddy to tread the road with. Although there are many good people here, a friend with a pulse is nice now and again. That sounds bad, no disrespect to those on this forum, but I hope you know what I mean.
Yes , this site is a lifesaver for us all.
Loving all the positive messages and gives that are coming up in the posts lately.
It's great to learn that so many people are getting to grips with their illness because of talking together here.
Take care x
Yes we are!!!! It could all be much worse.
That’s great!
As snazzy says good to meet one in person especially at your group- you can celebrate/ commiserate together.
You are right. An acquaintance was diagnosed with PMR one week after me and we have become great friends; comparing information and flares whenever we meet.
And sometimes deciding not to talk about it at all unless it's very positive.
Thank you all for the help and just being out there for all of us.
I have been doing weight watchers online for a few months now. Have lost 12 lbs. It has been slow going but I am able to eat what I like and believe I am eating in a healthier way and it's sustainable.
Currently 6.5/7 3 years 4 months pmr
It just helps you to think about sizes and what you are actually eating.
