As long as it wants too..................me 5 years and now into 8th of remission.

Just remember there is light at the end of the tunnel, but everyone's tunnel is theirs alone.

Currently no known cause or cure...........pred is it. Just remember pred stands between you and your sight and you want to keep that. So it is your friend, it also brings along unwanted companions but you never get them all and they do go away. Fatigue is the most difficult to deal cope with.

When were you diagnosed and what dose started on and what are you on now.

How much to you know about it as well...............

Just ask any questions they will be answered.

No answer to that I fear. I know a couple of ladies who got to zero and off pred in about 2 years but most of the people I know have needed more like 4 to 5 years. As jinasc has said - everyone is different. Though to be honest, GCA journeys seem shorter than PMR.

Me personally....5&half years. In remission 2&half years.
