Have seen a few available - mostly vertical cutting but a couple cutting horizontally.
Any views please?

I bought both as I found some pills cut better with vertical and vice versa.
My husband and I have identical vertical cutting ones - I can't use his, mine's OK. Go figure ...
Just look at the blade...thin but strong. Mine hits everytime.
As vertical seem to be more common, I’d go with one of those!
I wore out my first (vertical) cutter, and am now on my second. They are so cheap in our local pharmacy that I will change again when number 2 deteriorates. I am now 6 years plus into PMR.
If the pill cutter is required for cutting your Pred pills, did you know that there is now a 2.5mg dose available in the uncoated tablets? So, by using a combination of 5, 2.5 and 1 mg tablets, no pill cutting is required until you get below 2 mg.
Thinking in advance for when OH gets to 5 and below - currently on 10 - may be OK without 0.5 ATM.
I went to the Pharmacy after PMRpro recommended a pill cutter. Up 'til then did not even know such things existed. I bought a snassy little thing rather like a mouse. It's hinged at the head and works well.
