Split the dose. And it’s working!!!

Hi everyone. I was having pain between shoulders when I slept and was very stiff getting out of bed. I was done to 2 mil. So I went up to 3 mil in the morning and 2mil at night. I wish I would have tried this sooner and with the new cbd oil I can sleep!! The cbd oil really helps with sleep (no thc) I don’t know if it’s working with stiffness pain but with sleep yes !!!!

For the first time in 2 years I can get out of bed with no stiffness. So happy the split plans working for me. It’s sunny and hot here in Florida going on the boat. I post a pic!!!! Mj

But an increase to 5mg might have worked anyway without the split and cbd???

I’ve just moved my dose from bedtime to morning (5days), and I’m not liking it, PMR stiffness there to remind me. I’m going to go back to bedtime dosing.

You have to do what suits YOU best!

Yes indeed. I moved to a morning dose after reading a post (snazzyD?) where her Endo advised morning dose to be better for the adrenals. As I’m in adrenal territory I thought I’d try. It hasn’t worked for me, so s•d the adrenals, back to the PMR. I really dislike being reminded early each morning, I can cope better with evening stiffness and put it down to tiredness, and as I’ve been moving during the day I don’t think it’s as bad,

Yes I tried the 2am lark for a little while - but decided it was just lost sleep with no benefit!

I did 2am at the start with plain pred, and higher doses I was likely awake anyway.

Now on GR and lower doses, I’m definitely the sort of dog that should be left sleeping. In fact I find 07.30 a bit early for my liking!

Back to 10pm dose from tonight. Might get something achieved tomorrow, have ground to a halt this week. And TBH haven’t been sleeping so well, so entering The Grumpy Zone 👹

5mg GR at bedtime, 0.5mg plain this morning. Not stiff on waking, little ‘fizziness’ about my thighs. 4 students fed at 7am and then dispatched for their return journey at 8. 4 beds stripped, washed and dried. Quick visit to school, then chemist to pick up pills. Dropped DiL off for shopping, then 50mile round trip to see my Dad, usual bum pain on driving. Now 4pm, not had a nap but might need one soon.

That’s more like it! Best not get carried away 😮

Soraya, how ever satisfying your productive day has been, that is far too much and you know it really! Something needs to be delegated from your work- load. Really! X

It was unfortunate that all the students left today, it usually happens at the weekend and hubby helps. Just had a 2 hour nap, and nothing to do now til bedtime and another pred dose 😊 plus a lie in tomorrow, it’ll be fine 👍🏼

It’s so wonderful when you solve the dosing and stiffness dilemma. I have tried taking my dose all in the morning after rising, splitting it am and pm and have finally set on 2/3 at 2am and 1/3 at 2pm....works like a charm. I’m afraid no GR tablets here in Canada 🙁

I’m a sleeper and dislike getting up to take my dose, followed by a few trips to the bathroom, but to start my day free of stiffness/soreness is worth it.

Enjoy the warm weather in beautiful Florida. We were there for 10days in Feb. Divine!!

I agree 100% about the cbd oil. Best sleep I have had in years. Glad you are finding relief with the new regime.
