Tell me about it! They should have just given me a call and I would have given them an encyclopedic response as to how sleep loss increases pain. What a waste of research money. They could have just taken a phone survey of anyone suffering from chronic pain and sleep loss.

Well, the thing is, if they're doing research into the matter, maybe the can also find a solution?

I guess we can hope. I surely could use a solution myself.

My problem at the moment is not so much pain from PMR as I tore my rotator cuff and my left arm some months ago and it is still causing me pain that is not improved by sleep loss.

Sorry to hear that. Hope you find some healing relief soon.

Thank you for your wish. All of us in this group need some kind, or many kinds, of healing relief and the support is always welcome. Thank you.

Sometimes just knowing what we're experiencing is normal (at least for the condition we're in) is a relief all by itself.

If you can't sleep, at least rest. If you can't do either, at least do something fun.

I will be following your post Ozark , as it will also answer a couple of questions I have , mine was diagnosed back in December so I'm new and learning . one thing that has helped me sleep on occasions is listening to sleep/ Reiki music on you-tube via my phone on very low next to my bed .

But I have learnt already that sleep makes a difference

take care x

Yes would really agree. I would have said my pain threashold was always hugh( 3 children with no pain intervention) but with sleep deprivation because of pain - it is a vicious circle I feel.
