One lady got it on the NHS and found some benefits - but not enough to decide to pay for it herself and it didn't seem to help the PMR itself...
I’ve had 3 goes (1per week for 12 weeks) over the last 3 years. Can’t say it helped much, but it certainly doesn’t harm you. At least you feel as though you are DOING something.
I have had two goes and in my opinion they were both a total waste of time. It may work for others though.
To my surprise I found it painful. It didn’t seem to do anything for my symptoms.
Snake oil.
Hi. Yes I have tried this. No good for pmr but brilliant for bursitis (almost miraculous) in my hips. It also reduced my pain when i broke my elbow so that I could do the exercises needed to recover full extension without taking pain killers which can reduce bone healing. It doesn’t work for everything. I was sceptical and didn’t expect it to do anything but happy to try. All the best cc 🤗
I have had a lot of acupuncture. It did not help and is too expensive.
Yes it helped with elbow pain and stiff fingers, but at nearly £50 a time and she wanted me to come weekly for a few months it's a luxury I decided I can't afford. It was useful a few years ago when I had back pain (sacroilliac), sorted out what physiotherapy had failed to do. if money was no object I'd probably do more, especially in winter when dem bones ache more!
