Did anyone watch Children In Need last night. It kind of puts things into perspective doesn't it!
A particular story touches me each year and this year it was the little girl, who was seemingly a healthy child until suddenly developing alarming symtoms when she started school. She deteriorated so quickly following diagnosis of MLD, a rare genetic disorder. So sad. Her brother has also been diagnosed. How do parents cope in these circumstances?
The wonderful work people do for these and other children is amazing! It never fails to touch me.
I was particularly proud since one of the children in my choir, who has no other singing or dancing backgroun, landed a part in the School of Rock show in the West End London. She was in the 'School of Rock group that opened the Children in Need programme last night.
If you haven't already made a contribution and are looking for a charity to support, I strongly recommend this one, as it offers bespoke support that otherwise these vulnerable, disadvantaged children and families would not be able to access.
