A monkey!!!! No you did read this right. I woke up with a start this morning after a dream/nightmare about having turned into a monkey whilst having a bath!! I am not sure whether this is because the doctor increased my anti depressant or whether this is just me being as mad as a hatter!! I told my OH who promptly told the family and then suggested they get me bananas for Christmas. I really do hate my bloody life some days. Plus I spent 40 mins trying to find the blasted cat yesterday only to find she had sneaked into the sewing room and made a nest on top of my new fabric. I am now contemplating hibernation till spring!!

Tonight Matthew I am going to be......
Oh gosh, I hope you like Nannas! A monkey in a dream is linked to ill health actually, as well as other things.
Your dear puss cat looks so sweet in her little white bib.
I do get recurring dreams of toilets, not sure what that is about!
😂 What a dear little cat,
You are sounding so much brighter these days Yellowbluebell. Good on you!
OOH! You couldn't possibly be cross with that darling kitty. x
She is very cute but pushes buttons all the time. I make quilts and just when I lay them out to get ready for quilting she creeps in and sits with just one paw on the fabric just to see what the reaction will be. If I ignore her she creeps further on!! Her favourite pastime seems to be finding an unguarded quilt to sleep on.
Hello, fellow quilter, what are you working on?
I have just finished a quilt for me at long last because whenever I start one hit is it seems to get legs and go to my daughters places or even my grandson. This one is made of Indian silk from saris and doesn’t really involve much cutting and piecing but I live it. I can’t add a picture for some reason so if someone knows how and can let me know I will post it.
Hi I am a fellow quilter too. I have always wanted to do it but work got in the way . It’s the only good thing about being ill. I hope your family don’t give you too many bananas. Happy quilting. X
I had dabbled in quilting for a while but my career took over so when my husband was ill and I gave up work to care for him I took the opportunity to do more and I just got totally addicted to it.
Yes me too, my husband has made me my own sewing room. The only problem is my fabric stash is bursting out of my cupboard, then again every quilter has way too much fabric don’t they. Keep well x
Oh dont go there about the stash. I regularly buy from connecting threads in American and my stash keeps growing. OH has not got any idea just how much there is but there might be some sort of apocalypse and I would need it all!!!
How true, I keep going to quilt shows and always come back with more fabric. There is a quilt shop near me and oh rolls his eyes when I mention going in. X
Mine has given up even bothering to react now but he keeps going on about our quilt which is only just being completed after years of sewing!!! I take orders which always take precedence but this does mean everything else gets put back. My daughter keep ordering baby quilts for their friends as well.
Oh l know the feeling only too well,l am also mad as a hatter just lately! I love the picture of your beautiful cat,she looks very pleased with herself, and her expression seems to say ‘I am not going to move so make me if you dare ! ‘I hope you enjoy your bannanas and wish you sweeter dreams tonight.
I think it’s definite me and not the antidepressant to be honest. I dare say I will get a version of the banana at Christmas because my youngest son in law has an evil sense of humour!! She definitely didn’t intend moving and then when I told her to get off she started lookin at the wall ignoring me!!
I thought she would do that! Pussy cats like to do whatever like ,they seem to think they are superior to us humans !l am sure she will move when she is hungry .l think you are going to have a constant flow of bananas for quite a while !
Please share the jokes with us ,we all like something to smile about .Puss has obviously charmed your grandson.
When I joined this forum I did initially try and tone my natural loud and raucous personality down. This worked for about a week and then I decided I would just be me and if things made me laugh then others might laugh with/at me and I have always thought laughing is good for every one. Hence when things happen in the mad house I call home I tend to share with you all. If it upsets people I am sure I will be told!!’ I will keep trying to make everyone have a laugh whenever I can. I am glad you like a laughx
I think we all like to lighten up sometimes,it’s good to have a laugh xx.
I also have been having strange dreams. I dreamed the other night that my husband was trying to kill me. He's a gentle man who wouldn't harm a soul. I just figured he'd had it with 2 and a half years of PMR! Just kidding 😉
I am still not sure it isn’t the antidepressants to be honest but it was a very strange dream/nightmare. I haven’t a clue what your dream means. Maybe do as Pmrpro said earlier and look it up. What ever it is meant to signify I am sure your OH is not planning your imminent death. Just make sure you don’t have any big holes appearing in the garden!! Debby
I'm sorry, but this did make me chuckle. I've had some weird dreams in the past, but after about an hour I forget what they were about. I have woken in the middle of the night really uneasy about something I've dreamt but for the life of me I can't remember what caused the uneasiness because I can't remember the dream. I find that so frustrating
I could tell you some of the dreams I have ( even before the medication ) and you would feel quite normal.
I have a few suggestions for you though
1. Sling cat of your sewing stash.
2. Hibernate in your craft room for winter, take bananas.
3. Sew yourself a lovely patchwork hammock.
4. Book flights to somewhere warm and tropical , sling your hammock between two palm trees , get umbrella drink.
5. You are now prepared for a nice monkey life , for when visible symptoms occur,
Symptoms of growing hair , long limbs and a wicked laugh will have the silver lining of you being able to swing round in trees with ease in a way you couldn't even before you had PMR.
In which case, becoming a monkey seems to have an upside and could we all have some of what your taking!!
Ooh, ooh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oooooh!!!!!!🐒🐒🐒🐒🐵🍌🍍🍌🌴🌴🐒🐒🐵
They are brill suggestions the only thing that worries me is that I may have already started the growing hair ( because shaving is just too much effort and I don’t have to go out in public). As my room is nice and warm I might just curl up there especially as there is a nice nest already. Mind you not sure I can get on top of the drawers!! The bloody cat has spent years hiding from me when she knows she shouldn’t be in my room but she’s started a new level of deviousness now and actively looks for a new quilt to deposit black fur on. A few weeks ago I had left a quilt over my chair in the room and she actually got under the quilt and went to sleep. It took me hours to work out where she was.!!!!
Got to love the little fur Hobbits!
If you are growing hair now it's a good thing , being winter it will give you a nice layer of down to keep you warm.
At least that's been my excuse for not shaving my legs and looking like a knobbly knee'd referee from October to May for the last few years!!
The Hirsute and wobbly will conquer the world!!!
( Maybe in tonight's dream!)
Interesting reading about your quilting Yellowbluebell. Did you teach yourself?
Yes I did but did lots of other crafts(knitting, crochet, cross stitch) before so it was kind of a natural progression for me when the kids got to big to knit for(hate adult sizes!!)
