I may have posted this before but its a good read for those new to prednisone use and have some "fears" of the devils tictac's..(not really)...im done with year one of being diagnosed with PMR and am down to 8 1/2mg of pred and going sloooow....still have some bad days but the same days that would keep me in the house feeling depressed and crying in the shower (real men don't cry haha) or on the wife shoulder, now I just drink my coffee eat whatever pills I hope will help and do what I can, sometimes too much....PMR, like and old friend who you think is gone away but then pops up to remind you he lives close by.....hopefully by year two or sooner this will be gone for good....

Thanks for re-posting. It is a reassuring article and ammunition against those that want us off them too soon.

It is my belief that “ real men” cry quite often. It is pretty good for our all round mental health. Suppressing emotion leads to disorders like our own PMR.
