Has anyone experienced Limited scleroderma along with their PMR or GCA. I understand that this is another autoimmune condition & probably related to calcium but whether too much or too little seems unclear. Since I've been dosed with calcium to protect bones since on steroids I'm wondering whether I should reduce intake. Also, can calcium levels in the blood be easily measured?

Well I am absolutely no help to you and I just spent an hour googling it! I did see something about calcium and too much vitamin D but I am afraid I was too far down the rabbit hole to help at all. I do think calcium in the blood IS easily measured!! Hope someone comes along with proper information and hope you get this sorted out soon!

Yes, I found Mr Google most confusing on this. A case for my GP I think!

Of course blood calcium can be measured easily - and it should really be being done every 6 months or so if you are on calcium supplements.

Have you been diagnosed with it? Or do you suspect you may have it? If so - you must see an experienced doctor.
