Shoulders & Neck Sore & Burning Today!

With wife on a day trip yesterday thought I 'd tackle defrosting the fridge freezer before we had to put a couple of bricks there to stop the door opening!! Easy job eh! no problem! Should have run the stocks down a bit beforehand shouldn't I! Lugging the stuff to the garage, mopping up,washing and disinfecting the crud. (no flesh eating monsters found!) 4 hours later all up & running & smug satisfaction. So sore today I feel I've done 10 rounds with Anthony Joshua. Was it worth it! I think so! But still reflecting on this!! Have a good day yourselves. If you can! ATB

Yes, been there done that. The Pred ravaged muscles just don’t like lugging stuff, being in stress positions or enduring repetitive movements. Hope the glow from a job done anaesthetises the pain.

What’s the plant? I can’t remember. Do they mind drought conditions?

Just got back from QE hospital eye clinic consultant. Very good they are but concerned about my weight gain & increasing sugar level. Possible steroid sparing! MMMMM! The wine may have to go for a while to see if it makes a difference! The plant is Dierama Pulcherimum. AKA. Angels Fishing Rod. Seems to have done ok but not as spectacular as usual. Have a smaller white version too.

Strange concept defrosting the deep freeze in a heat wave...

in reply to PMRpro

It's quicker though! Haven't an auto de-frost on this antique!

Auto-defrost uses a LOT of electricity!

I knew there was some deep logic to this dilemma! Might get rid of the string round the fridge door now ! Hell! A foot length of duct tape looks so much aesthetic!

It's always the big decisions!

Enjoy that feeling of smug satisfaction... I know it well!

On Sunday, I put new handles on two hall closet doors... used a handheld screwdriver! Big mistake. On Monday my forearms were soooo sore and on my right arm (I'm right handed) I had two of those blood mark thingys; I apparent exerted the muscles and broke blood vessels, just screwing in new door handles!!!! : o

Melissa that's repetitive injury without the strain bit! (5 repetitions of trying to spell repetitive!! (No! 6) one of those words for me!) Never mind crushing a grape, a marshmallow can fight you back!

You crack me up Pepperdoggie! You truly do!!!!

I can remember at the beginning that the only way l could clean my teeth was with an Electric Toothbrush as l couldn’t manage the back n forth movement & l had to make the movements with my head to reach up n down & side to side! 😁

Oh course defrosting the freezer is a ‘Man Job’ l always tut about it when DH starts saying it’s time to be done. I’m sure your wife was very pleased though lm sorry you’re paying the price today.

Did you find any strange unlabelled items? We always do!.....

Take it easy today!

in reply to

Quite a few lost peas & half a fish finger! That's all. Not much of an adventure really. Perhaps we should buy some mystery items to liven it up a bit!!

in reply to

😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

There’s always a single portion of something, curry, chilli, stew! Usually goes in the bin as it’s freezer burnt! ❄️

in reply to

I'm the food bin here! Just chucked it all in & faced the consequences! Have to admit not so brave on that front now!

I can definitely relate to your experience. We always have a trade off when a lot of energy is exerted. Sounds like you were pleased with your accomplishment. Good for you. I hope you recovery soon.

Yes it is a trade off Dream21. The mental benefit V the afterburn! Feeling easier today thanks & the fridge isn't making a noise like a tardis! Hope you're having a good day.
