Head sweats are the worst! I just spend my day sitting on the couch with the shutters closed and a fan pointing at me. It was 33 here yesterday, feeling like 44 with the humidity.

We were out for a Pub Lunch today, doing the Touristy Bit until we get our new house on Friday.

It was so hot & l could feel the perspiration rolling down my face & along my neck, l could take it no more 🙅🏻‍♀️ Off came my Wig!........

I’ve never done that before in public but it was unbearable 🤦🏻‍♀️

I finished Chemo 2’n’half years ago but Pred & Methotrexate are not good companions for encouraging hair regrowth!......

Tomorrow, it’s a headband, hat & sunglass! 👒🕶👗More Joan Collins!

Go you Mrs Nails!!! My hair is getting thinner too, I'm sure. Chemo many years ago affected it and never really got back to "normal" but that isn't helping head sweats at all. Note to self... Stop moaning about good weather

Morning Holly

Well there’s one thing about the heat, it’s proving l still have some curl at least in the back of my hair!

We Brits Love to complain about the weather, l’m in need of a hair cut at the back & sides, it’s just the top of my head where the hair is sparse so definetly thinking scarf or hat today🧖🏻‍♀️👒

Best Wishes

Mrs N 💅🏼

I started wearing bandannas, folded into sweat bands. They mop up the dripping brow, and I dont look like a drowned rat all the time. There are Serena Williams- type athletic sweat bands that work also.

On the positive side, it keeps your face moisturized and pores clean🤪

All kidding aside, I have 5-6 different colored kerchiefs that I wear to

accessorize my costume, and just pretend I'm an elite athlete!!

Heat index in NYC yesterday and today: 108 degrees Farenheit

I take one of those gel packs meant for the drink cooler and put it on the back of my neck, on my chest, or under my arms. Quick relief that lasts a while.

Then I put on a bathing suit, take a coolish shower, and sit on a beach chair set on sheet plastic on my living room floor. AC is full blast, as is a fan.

Oh, how I wish I was at our house in the Hamptons.

200+ year old sea captain's house passed down through the generations. It once sat on a large farm, but the land was sold off in parcels over the decades. We retain an acre.

We are very lucky people.

Hi Hollyseden, in doors I am using a tall electric fan. For a quick cool off I put my arms in a sink of cold water for a couple of minutes. I am wearing very loose, thin linen clothing. I was much worse on high doses of Pred people would talk to me in the Street and I would feel the sweat rolling down my face - embarrassing.
