Saw my usual GP today who advise me to start a low dose of Pred 4mg & slowly reduce over the next few weeks/ months. After reading reply’s to this, I’m quite happy to go back on Pred as I look forward to reducing the pain again. I would be lost without this wonderful forum, thank you everyone.

So sorry that you have had a flare. Your post is a real reminder that the answer is to be as well as we can be, not focus on prednisolone! I once thought the the aim with PMR was to be off prednisolone but changing that mindset has really helped me. I hope you soon have things under control and are able to manage the pain:)

Thanks for your reply, PMR is a long journey that does require us to be patient for sure. My GP said to me not to rush it and take things slowly. Thank you for your good wishes.
