I’ve had this (rarely however)😏 a few times in the 6 years I’ve had PMR. Each time I’ve thought “is this the beginning of a pain free me”? Hope is always there, isn’t it?
The first year of PMR, I started every day by raising my arms over my head and reaching down to my toes. If I could do both, I felt more confident that the day would be ok.
At the end of the first year, around 9mgs Pred, I began to get weird episodes late afternoon and evening, weak wobblies then just weak. The first days that passed without those episodes it was only later in the evening that I realized what hadn't happened. I barely whispered the realization to myself for fear of jinxing.
Great to hear what didn't happen this morning for you.
Thanks for the heads up. My AIC and fasting glucose have been normal, actually improved after PMR and Pred. I think it is because I went low carbs and lost about 25 pounds. But I'll see to getting it checked again the next time my markers are tested, next month. Is there any other test that led to your diabetes diagnosis?
Wow! Good for you! I hope you weren't so confused that you forgot to savour it; like a fine wine or a gourmet meal? I hope you enjoyed every second, until that first "ouch." ❤️
It happened to me once in my 2+ years (so far) of PMR. Nothing hurt when I woke up. It was so strange. I spent some time trying to figure it out in the hopes of recreating the experience. Did I eat something different? Take my meds at a different time? Sleep more? Sleep less? What’s the weather? And on and on. It arrived in mystery and departed the same way.
Long may it continue but as SusanEleven says we do try to work out what we did right that day or the previous day to recreate the experience. But there are no rules unfortunately.
