Hi guys,

Don't know if this got through the first time I sent it.

Re pain in butt (no, not the wife :) haha)

Trying the tennis balls, don't know if it's working. I normally have to get up and move about for the relief.

I had pain in my shoulders and neck, which I thought was down to painting ceilings and beams. Then I had pain in the knees, so I thought, flare. I went up to 5mg of pred. I felt better later in the day, all the pains went, including the backside. I stayed on 5mg for 5 days, then dropped down to 3 3/4mg (I know it's more than 10%) At the moment everything seems fine, so going to try to get back down to 2 1/2mg in 5 days and stay there for a month.

I saw my rhumey and he apologised for his last comments, because he told me to change my pred to 1 day on and 1 day off. He said to do it my way.

The results of the DEXA Scan came back normal, so that's good. Hoping now to get back to my 10mg per week of pred in about a month.

Thanks for all your replies.

Best regards,

Buenavista

Hi, your but pain sounds exactly like what I have in legs also. My doctor says it is over active nerve endings and may go away. Think he’s probably right.
