Looks like I've lost something!

As many of you know I had a busy time on Saturday and was expecting payback on Sunday or Monday.

Well Saturday night was an 8mg dose and Sunday and Monday have been 7mg, I take my predn at 10pm. No extra aches or pains on Sunday, Monday my shoulders where tense and it took me a while to instruct my brain to relax them, still some pain but not the nasty tense stuff I get on times.

Then, yesterday, I posted a reply that included a comment on how painful my knees are, what feels like short tendons and a vice like grip around them. I can cope with the first but the vice like pain isn't pleasant. Anyway after my comment PMRPro made a reply, not sure how much time between my post and my reply to PMRPro, but the vice like pain had nearly gone :)

Roll on to Tuesday morning and it has all gone, I have had another pain in one knee, but only for a short time. Looks like I'm getting used to old stuff again :)

I walked down the stairs as normal this morning instead of step at a time until I can grab onto something, boy does that make me feel good. I have found walking difficult, I used to get out lunch time and do about 3 miles, that has been reduced recently, Now I'll have to try and get back out walking :)

FABULOUS NEWS! Good on you!!!! I'm hoping the rest of your day is as good, and the pain stays away! Enjoy.

I'm looking forward to climbing 3 flights of stairs and not need a sleep at the end off them!

Fingers crossed :)

Indeed, little wins are always good.

Climbing the stairs, well it felt like I ran up them, faster than I have been, not pushing myself, I just walked up.

I have noticed the return of really sharp knee pain since I have got my Pred dose down, with some swelling. I feel like I have been stabbed in the knee sometimes, coming downstairs, particularly carrying a tray, which I nearly drop. My Amatzu practitioner ( a bit like a Japanese Chiropractor) does manipulate it ( to good effect) and recommends walking on the flat ( that helps everything). He says that the knee joint is a badly designed joint that eventually troubles most folk - hence all the operations I guess.

Are you attributing healing powers to PMRPro? I think you might be on to something there. 😉

You may have something regarding PRMPro ;)

I love the stabbing pain in the knees! I'm not looking forward to the one I get when my right knee refuses to take my weight, always just as you put the weight on it!

But better to have the old aches and pains back and get them to settle back down.

Today I feel the best I have for a long time :D

Great news.

Sounds like your mind (Saturday joy) and body (not rebelling) are in harmonious synchronicity. Long may it last.

Hi Julian

Good to hear that you're recovering from your 'activities' (albeit a bit controversial here!) on Saturday - no wonder your shoulders were feeling it afterwards. Perhaps just a reminder not to overdo things physically, even when we're feeling relatively good?

Keep smiling.. and posting ;-)
