Out with the old year.....

I look back at 2017 with some semblance of pride (reasons to be cheerful):-

I started the year with swollen leg joints but by August they had returned to normal.

I started the year on 10mg pred but have reduced to 6mg for which I am grateful.

I attended my son's wedding in Paris at Easter, travelling by Eurostar and it took a month before I recuperated but I did.

I am now a great-grandfather----makes me feel every one of my 67 years!

I have seen improvements to both my lymphoedema & my diabetes; now I have to pray for improvement with PMR!

With my limited mobility I have learnt new skills in the arts; trying watercolours, pastels, acrylic painting, encaustic art (painting with wax); have learnt how to communicate using facebook and twitter (I never had time before).

I hope everyone has found something to brighten up their year despite this horrible disease we have.

In closing I would like to wish all a:-

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year

Joyeux Noel et bonne Annee.

Feliz Navidad y un feliz Ano Nuevo.

Frohe Weinachten und ein glueckliches neues Jahr.

Vrolijk Kerstfeest en een gelukkig nieuw Jaar.

Best wishes

For Xmas and New Year

If we can remain positive with this illness its a bonus

I to am a cup half full person

One thing this illness has given me is permission to put myself first and spoil myself .

Good luck with your reduction to club zero

What a lovely positive post thank you for sharing it. I have tried to articulate the benefits of being forced to stop and then change your pace and priorities in life before, but you put it perfectly. I hope your prayers are answered and PMR leaves you. Congratulations on becoming a great grandfather - you truly are the wise elder of your family. I wish you a happy Christmas and a happy healthy new year.
