Hi, can anyone recommend a physio or personal trainer in London who is familiar with PMR? Thanks!

If you don't find a physiotherapist with PMR knowledge try a sports physio, worked for me. Good luck.

Hi, I’m not in London so can’t make a specific recommendation but agree with CT-5012 that a sports physic would be helpful. I am seeing someone who is trained in Anatomy in Motion methodology (I think there are a few trained practitioners in London) and that has been really helful for me and got me moving much better.

If you google some key words - london physiotherapy polymyalgia - you should find a number of clinics which appear to have good understanding of polymyalgia.

Are you hoping to maintain or improve your physical strength with physiotherapy because the key thing is that the therapist understand your muscles are intolerant of the usual types of exercise physiotherapists prescribe.

What area of London are you in? I know of a good physio in between Winchmore Hill and Enfield. He has family members who have had PMR and was great to have 'on board' when I had PMR. He doesn't appear on the lists on Google though. PM me if you would like his details......
