Looks like I might not have GCA. The neurologist here thinks that because I have been on Imuran ( azathiopirine ) for about 20 years that a fungal or bacterial bug is somewhere in my body and may hve been there for a long time.

Good news brain looks ok. Bad news I have raised CSF pressure . Good news explains the headache. Bad news I have a CSF leak so head hurts more. Bad news still waiting on pain doc and neuro so no pain meds yet. Bad news have to wait for pathology on CFS anywhere from 2 days to a month. Nothing more.

Must admit I don't really understand the diagnosis but pleased that they are investigating and that action will be taken. As CT5012 says hang onto the good news. Do hope that all works out well for you and very best wishes for a full and speedy recovery.

That sounds awful as I do know what it means. Puts all the moaning about my Teresa May cough and my complaint for the day in perspective.

Prompted by you, I have just been reading about a woman who had a Spinal tap for CSF pressure and she got relief from a headache that had plagued her for years, just from the procedure. You couldn't make it up.
