thank you...
Thank you.
Thank you
Thank you.
The UK has had to live on and off since the early 70's with random terrorist acts.
No, we will never get used to it.............but they never seem to learn it does not, whatever their cause is, no good.
It makes those who are hurt and those whose loved ones are killed, needlessly, even more determined to carry on, with heavy hearts and grim determination.
I was born just before WW11 and since then seemed to have lived nearly all my life with terrorism and wars taking place somewhere on this beautiful planet earth.
I hear you. I remember bombs going off with regularity here in NYC in the 60s.
What I say to myself is that my life can be taken from me without my permission, but no one can have my freedom unless I give it up. And no, I won't give it up. So I just go on with my day, keeping my eyes open to what's happening around me.
Wishing us all Peace and Freedom.
Thank you!
Thank you - it means a lot, especially now that it has been announced we have moved to "critical" which means an attack is imminent. "Keep calm and carry on" as the saying goes - and we will!
Thank you.
Thank you.
Thanks I work in two schools in Fulham & we were on lockdown but we were all safe. Thanks for thinking of London.
I have family and friends in Britain. What the hell is happening! Keep safe .
Short answer............people who have not realised that terrorism just does not work.
Thank you x
Thank you. I've just been e-mailing a friend in Florida who weathered the hurricane and we agreed that we live in a much altered and uncertain world in which our friends are very important.
The world is, and always was, a dangerous place. What we've lost is the illusion of control, just as we have with our PMR/GCA.
And it's the people in our lives that we help, and who help us, to weather whatever comes.
Oh yes, it's the people who help us weather the storms. In NY yesterday and a bit apprehensive about subway travel but I did it afraid. Many more police everywhere but they look 12!
Did a gallery art tour from 1-3:30 pm. Walked more than usual...total 5 miles for the day (not all at once). Today I have slightly more arm pain from shoulder to elbow. First time in 3 months I tried an afternoon activity. That's usually my rest period. Experimenting with levels of activity vs. rest.
Well, good for you, Sandy, for living your life and for pushing yourself gently so you could so something you wanted to do. Reward yourself today with bit of an extra rest.
Nobody puts Sandy in a corner!
Thank you.there is so much suffering in the world without these morons who are fortunate enough to live in a free country inflicting death and terrible injuries on innocent people.
Wishing all of you in the UK some respite from this craziness. Stay safe.
I'm reeling from the fact that the first person arrested lived just a couple of roads away from where I live - less than a 10 minute walk - and, of all things, in a home that provided sanctuary for him! Many years ago as a youngster living on the outskirts of London, I travelled daily into London to the office in which I worked, on the train involved. Thankfully, it appears that the latest threat is over, and hopefully, all the victims will quickly make a complete recovery from their injuries - unfortunately, their emotional scars may take a lot longer.
Thank you. I'm travelling from Yorkshire to London tomorrow to visit my sister and family - including my little great-nephew and great-niece. I'll be on the trains and buses and just hope to be safe. As you say, I'll keep my eyes open and won't let them make me cancel my trip.
