Encouragement

The lightbulb went off today when I was reading the daily digest. Decided to make a folder in my email to keep these so on days I am not doing so good, I can read them again!! I think it will help!

Especially with Pred head. I can't retain anything these days!

I now write more "to do" lists than ever before! I used to be able to remember what had to be done. One advantage is the sense of achievement from seeing the ticks on the list gradually stack up, even if it takes several days/weeks to complete!

Any ways to reduce Pred Head symptoms? I probably had it pre PMR but now I can pin it on new condition! My business had lots of complicated paperwork and now it overwhelms me. Consequently, I'm in the process of selling it to minimize anxiety. I do lots of different exercise: walking, Zumba, light weight training, Tai Chi, Quigong. Just joined a book club, current events discussion. However, I have the attention span of a two year old, lost my filter and get a bad case of the "gotta goes" if I am not comfortable in a situation.

I realize much of this could be attributed to age and personality type.

Suggestions please? Mediation is rough for me.

I think you are probably trying to "do" too much. PMR is often a message to calm down a bit and smell the roses...

Good point. I think I am a human "doing." Need to try to be human being!

Went to hospital appointment today with mum ( aged 91) to help her explain problems with ears and hearing aid. I kept forgetting names of things , like "stem" of hearing aid and couldn't dismantle hearing aid when shown, to help mum. Mum had to keep interrupting me to help me out!!! A bit of role reversal due to bad pred head today so yes know the feeling!!

It comes and goes for me Gaijin. I know I was tired this morning- very early start and have just started a reduction ( 19- 18 on DSNS) Sometimes complete words and expressions escape me and I just laugh , say I can't remember ( which I can't) and carry on. I try not to stress about it and actually it has helped some of my elderly friends and neighbours who are also having similar problems but for different reasons!

So pred can actually help with the brain fog..I guess if we are aware of it, must be a good sign!

I told a couple worker today when asked about my knee bandage that I had hurt it picking up my fat son in-law! Yikes I meant grandson (who is a chubby 5 month old)

Sometimes I mix up words.

You just gotta laugh.
