A Question (for the Administrators?): what might a 'Hidden' profile mean here..?

Greetings All

Just a quick query / concern (?):

I notice that one of this forum's long standing, regular, open and very pleasant contributors has recently stopped answering people's posts / threads, and their profile has disappeared. On trawling back through my various posts, the User's responses still appear (I recognise the tone and style) - but their profile is now marked as 'Hidden' and they are no longer contactable privately. I won't disclose the user's identity - all I will say is 'one of the lads', who very thoughtfully sent me a PM asking if I was ok when I was recently 'absent' for a couple of weeks (only because I was busy / away a lot).

Can anyone suggest what 'Hidden' might mean? Obviously, people's personal circumstances are private unless we decide to share them, and any of us can dip-in or out of the forum, change our profile settings, or leave it at will.

It just seems out of character for a well-liked, funny and thoughtful 'regular' here to disappear so mysteriously - and, naturally, I'm concerned that all is not well with them...

All thoughts appreciated (by PM if more appropriate).

Hidden must be when they do not want to be contacted for some reason.

I do hope they are ok !! Please come forward and let us know you are ok please x

Let's hope so. I know that when 'one wing down' with PMR (and all that goes with it..), some of us prefer to withdraw from the community and get off the ride for a while.

Fingers crossed for the person concerned...
