Hand swelling

I also had hand swelling so bad in the morning for several hrs so that I was unable to wear my wedding ring. Currently my PMR is in remission

I think we are prone to swelling with this condition and Prednisalone. I have had puffy hands, feet and of course the face. It sort of comes and goes. The feet were definitely from shoes with a modest wedge. If you're worried see your doctor but as you know weird symptoms go hand in hand ( no pun intended) with these diseases. Long may your remission continue!

At the moment I am reducing from 10 to 9 pred. And feel very strange stiffness at front of upper legs and heavy feeling in body has anyone else experienced thid

Sounds a bit as if you may have reached a point where you might need to rest for a month or two!

Yes I have stiffness behind my calfs on both legs and I am at9 mg

I walk strangely and cannot seem to help it as if Ive had a stroke but haven't . I'm going to see s physical therapist as it's lasted 2 months. If I massage my legs there is no pain in there, only pain walking downhill or uphill and this stiffness on the flats. An overall heavy feeling like a stroke has or is about to make things worse.

What do you.mean by rest do you mean don't taper anymore or rest in bed I try to walk for about 10 minutes and then I have to stay on the bed most of the day this condition is really upsetting my nerves

In this case it means don't taper for a while! Especially if you can't manage 10 mins without being flat out. Try 5 mins and then sit for a while before trying another 5 mins - that can make a big difference even though it sounds pathetic.
