I woke at 6.10 am, today, with a headache, which I haven't had for some years now. Reminder of the GCA pain I used to have. Jolted me out of bed, as with GCA, the headaches don't let you lie down. Sat up for awhile. My DSNS dose Pred, today, is 2mg.I had an appt. with surgery nurse and my BP was normal. Having eye test Monday, and GP wed, next week. Am I ok with my present dosage, or should I increase it? The headache and scalp pain are not there all the time.
On the plus side, when nurse weighed me, I had lost 2 stone since Jan. Think nurse more excited than me! I haven't been dieting, but C.Diff took it's toll, Feb.

Give it time - but if it persists or gets worse you may need a discussion with the doctor. I do hope not when you have got so far but if you don't neglect it you may get away with a much lower dose this time if it does turn out to be a flare.
Good! Hopefully it was not GCA, but just a random headache that occasionally occurs. But as PMRpro says - monitor it, and discuss with surgery over phone if it escalates.
