Prednisolone side effects

Been on prednisolone for 3 weeks now and wondered if I am going to get any side effects when will it be.

Just like any drug, some people seem susceptible to their side effects and others do not get any. Pred does have quite a lot of side effects of course.

Does anyone know or have any stats on what percentage of people taking Pred. get no side effects or minimal side effects? John

Not really - everyone is so different and there are so many people taking pred for so many different reasons it would be a mammoth task to keep the records.

I have none to speak about now - I did have glorious side effects with methylprednisolone (Medrol) which started within a few weeks of starting to take it. It also didn't work for me. I had previously had no problems at all with prednisolone and now have no problems with prednisone. I gained weight - I lost it all. My hair and skin went mad - all back to normal now albeit a bit dry which was never a problem before. No pre-diabetes, no cataracts, BP well controlled but raised for another reason. Bone density hasn't changed significantly.
