Took 9mg yesterday and 10mg today trying to follow the tapering method sent by PMRpro, my arms ached a little this morning a my legs feel like jelly, would it have that effect after just one day? Seeing doctor tomorrow but I know she won't agree with this method, but I would rather do this method than have all the awful pain again.

You might, if it's steroid withdrawal. This is why you take 10 mg for several days now, before taking the 9 mg again. You shorten the gap each time, and with luck the body begins to understand that it's ok, you'll get your pred again, and the withdrawal symptoms fade. Where you need to be concerned is if this doesn't get better with time, or if it gets worse and worse over the next couple of weeks. That would likely mean PMR increasing. But the PMR itself is unlikely to rear its ugly head within one day, so most likely it is pred withdrawal and you just need to give it time. If you find it's not really getting either better or worse you could consider a .5 mg drop instead of full 1 mg. If this doesn't work either then you probably need 10 mg for the time being, and you should wait for a few weeks before trying again.
