High breathing rate

Has prednisone been associated with a higher than the normal range breathing rate. I am on a project for early detection of infection and in the initial training session scored 28 per minute there (12-20 normal range) and 22 when at home. I associate more easily becoming out of breath with taking prednisolone but it could equally be because I have not got much lung capacity for whatever reason. At unconnected medical screening some years ago I was told I have perfectly efficient lungs but "they are not very big are they?1!"

I have found that since I have PMR (6 months since start), and preds. for this condition, that I am short of breath, and have to walk at a much slower pace than I was used to.
