Morning. Have pmr/gca and hoping to move to Suffolk in Jan. Some stress but need the bungalow!😀

Is there a group or others near Woodbridge/Ipswich.

Many thanks

Sue

Here is a list of all the current groups:

pmrgca.co.uk/groups/

I don't know where the East Anglia group meets but Cambridge looks to be reasonable but the contact details are there for you to call the various groups and ask for more info.

There was a group meeting in Needham market - just a skip and a jump - but the last meeting mentioned on the website is April 2014!

Thank you. I did check the group lists but wondered if there was anything happening that I hadn't noticed. Or if there are any fellow sufferers who might want to meet up for coffee.

This forum is amazing and has helped keep me reasonably sane!

What about asking at local GP practices and the hospital rheumatology department if you could put up a poster asking if anyone is interested? You don't have to start with a formal meeting - informal coffee mornings at a local cafe are easy to arrange, can be no/low cost and don't need too much commitment - if it grows, it grows.

The East Anglia group meets in Needham Market. We will look forward to seeing you.

Thank you for your replies. I'm keeping fingers and everything else crossed that our move can go ahead. 😬

An update for you. The next East Anglian meeting is on the 14th April, which is our AGM, with a talk by Penny Denby, chair of the national body.

We then have meetings on the 7th July, and in October - date to be confirmed.

All these meetings are at Needham Market Community Centre.

Thank you again. Still waiting for everything to go through on our move. But April is far enough away - hopefully!!

Hope you are now happily settled in your bungalow. My mum who has recently been diagnosed with PMR and I live near Ipswich. Welcome to Suffolk.

Thank you cgvaughan for your kind wishes. Really love living in Suffolk.

Sorry to hear about your Mum. Hope you are both coping. There is a meeting for the East Anglia folk at Needham Market on 20th October. Also, we have a coffee and chat get together at Wyevale Garden Centre, Woodbridge, some time in November I believe.

Best wishes to your Mum.
