Please could you inform me of the reccomended time of day to take steriods for GCA

In the morning with breakfast. If your muscles suffer as well, some people set alarm to take with milk or something then go back to sleep whilst steroids kick in. Take it later in the day and it is more likely to disturb sleep. Hope this helps x

As runrig says - the best way is to take a single dose as early in the morning as possible. Of course, at the much higher doses it probably doesn't alter the effect on sleep or adrenal function whatever time you take it!
