Query re. GCA symptoms

I have been down to 2mg preds per day for the last 2 months, after almost 3 years now. All seems OK but today I've had quite a nasty artery pain on right side of head, lasting all day. Always a worry for eyes, but is this a usual blip?

There seems to be a rash of headaches scaring people at present! It is possible that you are having a flare at this late stage but unusual. If it continues do check with your doctor. Remember having had GCA/PMR and being on pred doesn't excuse you from having other things.

One lady had a similar experience after being out for a bike ride while on holiday - it was cool and windy. Was it the draft?????

Hi, I am now in "Club Zero" after 2 yrs coming off Pred with 1 good eye left to allow driving etc. Cant say had any severe temple pain in the year since, only the occasional twitch, but nothing remotely serious. It might be worth a visit to a good opthalmologist at the very least. that eye is precious! Hope it goes well.
